Instructional Design Portfolio

Learning that moves people from knowing to doing.

I design practical, visually clear and performance-focused learning experiences for teams who need more than information. My work turns complex workplace topics into guided practice, confident decisions and measurable action.

Selected Work

Portfolio demos

Each Launch Demo opens the completed hosted Storyline project in a new tab, while the card layout keeps tools and buttons aligned professionally across the full row.

Cyber awareness

Cyber Security Training

A practical cyber security learning experience that helps employees recognise everyday digital risks and respond with clear, safe actions.

Turns technical risk language into plain workplace actions. Supports quick recognition of unsafe digital behaviour. Includes short checks for confidence and recall. Designed for easy internal rollout.

Tools used: Word, PowerPoint, Canva, Illustrator, Figma, Articulate Storyline, Articulate 360, After Effects, Google Forms and Kahoot.

Launch Demo
Mental health first aid

MHFA Learning Simulation

A mental health first aid learning simulation that helps learners practise supportive responses, identify signs of concern and choose responsible next steps.

Uses realistic choices instead of passive reading. Creates safe practice before real workplace moments. Gives feedback that explains consequence and better action. Supports confidence through repeated decision cycles.

Tools used: Research notes, action mapping, branching storyboard, Figma prototype, Articulate Storyline and user testing feedback.

Launch Demo
Safeguarding awareness

Safeguarding Myths

A concise safeguarding awareness module that helps learners challenge common myths, recognise risk and understand when reporting action is required.

Reduces hesitation by clarifying when action is required. Uses practical examples to reinforce correct reporting behaviour. Includes clean visual hierarchy for easier scanning. Built with usability testing in mind.

Tools used: Cathy Moore Map It, storyboarding, mockups, prototype, SCORM development and usability testing.

Capability

Learning design that feels useful

I focus on learning that supports performance, not just content delivery. The goal is to help learners understand, practise and apply.

01

Action Mapping

I start with the behaviour that must change, then build content around the actions people need to take in the real environment.

02

Storyboarding

I structure the learner journey before development so the flow, tone, activity, feedback and visuals are clear from the beginning.

03

Interactive eLearning

I create learning that includes decisions, scenarios, knowledge checks, feedback and guided reflection instead of long static slides.

04

Visual Learning Assets

I use clean layouts, icons, contrast, spacing and brand-consistent visuals to make learning easier to read and remember.

05

Prototype Testing

I test early versions to check usability, clarity and whether learners understand what is expected from them.

06

SCORM Delivery

I prepare digital learning for LMS delivery where required, including structured navigation and practical completion points.

Method

My project process

A simple but deliberate process helps keep learning projects focused, professional and aligned to workplace outcomes.

Clarify the performance goal

Define what learners must do differently after the learning experience.

Map the learner journey

Plan the flow from context and explanation to practice, feedback and confidence.

Design and prototype

Create storyboards, mockups and interactive drafts before full development.

Review and improve

Use feedback to refine clarity, usability, tone, pacing and learner support.
